Server Solutions

Mail

Postfix running on Linux is considered the best mail server solution today. Postfix with additional services like Cyrus(IMAP/POP3), spamassasin, Amavis-ClamAV antivirus and Horde/eGroupware/squirrelmail webmail client makes it an ideal choice to replace MS Exchange. Apart from this you can use LDAP, MySQL or PostgreSQL server to store preferences, Addressbooks, Calendar etc. You can also use popular POP3 or IMAP clients such as Thunderbird, Outlook or Evolution, making the migration smoother.

Web

Whether you are hosting your own website or providing web based email services internally Apache is a webserver of choice.

Tomcat is the server if you are looking to serve java pages.

Linux Router and Firewall
